They have fused the 20th century’s World Classic Rock (Nirvana, David Bowie, Sex Pistols, The Doors, Ozzy, more!)—the very sound they revere—with a distinctly Japanese rock aesthetic, forging a style they called "New Classic Rock".

VAIWATT's live shows in Tokyo are attended by a wide range of audiences, from teens to the silver generation! Furthermore, Vaiwatt fans represent a wide variety of people with different cultures, backgrounds and musical tastes. Our shows are truly a melting pot of the world. Our music combines the 20th Century rock we worship and sublimates these sounds with Japanese style J-rock. Mid and late 1970s UK punk and 1960s psychedelia, 90s Seattle grunge has been a large influence on Vaiwatt's sound. And a melding of the worlds of Japanese manga and cyberpunk have created the Vaiwatt fashion image!

Through our live performances, Vaiwatt seek to be a musical bridge between Tokyo and people residing in other countries. We will appeal to, delight, entertain attendees having a wide range of interests at the venue in your country.
Also, in the spirit of musical comradery, has supported the artists who have performed with us on our overseas tours by inviting them to perform in Tokyo. Since its inception in 2021, the focus of the VAIWATT-produced “EDO WAVE” series has been to create live music and art events with an international appeal.
